PureVPN recently acquired IvacyVPN. Consequently, IvacyVPN applications will be discontinued after September 30th, 2024. However, PureVPN will honor your existing Ivacy subscription and add-ons. Therefore, IvacyVPN users can transition their Ivacy account by logging into PureVPN using their Ivacy credentials after downloading the PureVPN application.
Ivacy recently announced that PureVPN, one of the provider's original supporters, has acquired their business. This transaction has led to a strategic partnership between the two VPNs. Specifically, Ivacy will undergo rebranding as “Ivacy Powered by PureVPN” with the goal of providing enhanced security features and a wider range of products.
What does this mean for you?
PureVPN guarantees to honor all previous Ivacy subscriptions and add-ons, ensuring that you retain all of your existing features.
If you are a current user, you should receive an email explaining how to transfer your account. This should be a seamless process, as all migration processes will be automatic.
When you log in to Ivacy, you'll see a countdown and a form for service migration. Fill out the form to create a PureVPN account using the same email and password. Your service will be automatically moved to PureVPN. After that, simply download the PureVPN app and log in with your IvacyVPN credentials.
Please note that:
- If you have subscribed to IvacyVPN using a payment card, PayPal, Stripe, etc., and choose to keep auto-renewal, you can keep your current pricing.
- If you subscribed to IvacyVPN using your iOS or Android device, remember to cancel your subscription in the respective store before switching to PureVPN, as they handle payments independently. Once you've canceled the subscription, you can use your preferred payment method directly with PureVPN.
In addition, Ivacy's new subscriptions are no longer available to purchase and will be replaced by PureVPN's subscriptions.
What happens to the IvacyVPN Lifetime Deal?
If you bought the lifetime Ivacy VPN from StackSocial, it's unclear what will happen to it so far, as they were not mentioned in the announcement.
However, after researching, I thought after PureVPN acquired IvacyVPN, if you have an IvacyVPN Lifetime account, it may not be renewed every five years for free, as usual.
You may need to pay an extra if you want to keep your IvacyVPN Lifetime account:
By now, it is possible that you may receive varied responses when reaching out to PureVPN support regarding this matter. Nevertheless, it is advisable to contact them to obtain a definitive resolution for your case.
