1Password has recently introduced a new feature that enables users to share Wi-Fi credentials using QR codes. It allows users to generate a QR code to share Wi-Fi passwords, and guests can simply scan that QR code and connect to the network without the hassle of having to show and type out the password.
1Password is a professional password management solution designed to store and organize a user's passwords securely. It enables users to generate strong, unique passwords for different accounts and provides a convenient autofill feature. In addition to passwords, 1Password can also securely store other sensitive information, such as credit card details and secure notes, utilizing strong encryption to protect the data.
The 1Password app now automatically generates a QR code for Wi-Fi logins, allowing others to connect by scanning the code.
If you want to generate a QR code manually, click the New Item button, then Wireless Router. After entering the Network Name and Network Password fields completely, you will see the QR code for that network, which you can share with anyone you want.
When you check Wi-Fi network details in 1Password, the QR code will pop up automatically for your convenience. But you can adjust this setting by heading to Settings -> Security -> Concealed Fields and deselect Always show Wi-Fi QR codes. When the setting is disabled, the QR code stays hidden until you tap it to share it.
This new feature is now accessible across the most recent releases of 1Password for iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, and Linux. So kindly update your application to its most recent version in order to benefit from this enhancement.
